What Cabinet Samples Should You Request Before a Bulk Order?

Build a sample set around the purchasing decision

A color swatch helps compare shades, but it cannot show door construction or hardware operation. For a new supplier or product range, request a representative door sample, finish references and key hardware samples where needed. A corner or drawer sample may be useful when the decision depends on construction details. Choose the smallest set that answers the questions holding up approval.

Give the factory enough information

Provide the door material, desired color, surface process and the hardware you want to review. Add product references or drawings if a specific profile or dimension matters. Include the delivery country, full address and contact number. Ask the supplier to confirm sample availability, any sample charges and freight arrangements in writing before dispatch; sample terms can differ by size and construction.

Turn sample approval into an order reference

Record what was received and check it against the requested specification. Photograph labels and note any changes needed. Approve material, finish and workmanship separately so that a color approval is not mistaken for acceptance of every construction detail. Keep a reference sample and ask the factory to retain a matching one. A sample approval supports the order specification; it does not replace production checks.
